Flower essences are a vibrational, water-based medicine. The healing qualities vary from flower to flower. Each essence carries the flower’s unique vibration which can support us in emotional wellness, harmony and balance. Flower essences are made in ceremony, using energetically charged water and sunlight or moonlight. They do not contain physical parts of any plant.

For this essence blend, I combined Pokeweed and Datura with Blue Cornflower Essence, which facilitates deep and lasting self-acceptance.

Pokeweed (Phytolacca decandra) flower essence allows us to stop the emotional reverberations associated with trauma: the energy that we keep feeling the effects of after the experience or memory has faded. They bring a swift and deep purging of that which does not serve and replace what they take away with a sense of renewal and restart. They also reset our inner fortitude and clear out any shame or negative self-image that has come with suffering in the same way for an intense period or a long one.

Datura aka Jimsonweed (Datura stramonium) then swoops in to help us take stock, promote spiritual growth and provide deep support around the purging. They remind us that misery, suffering and trauma are part of the cycle of being alive. They help us to accept that shit happens, so that we can move it through our bodies and remember that suffering creates depth in the spirit and a beautiful juxtaposition with all that is rich, lovely and easy in our lives.

This blend may be supportive for anyone who is moving through some sticky or deep pain, especially if related to a trauma. It is especially designed for those who are over identifying with their trauma, are feeling victim to circumstances and are struggling to feel hopeful that repair is possible.

Instructions: Use intuitively. Try 1-3 drops under the tongue, or in a glass of water, 1-3 times per day. Notice how you feel after a few days and either stop there, working in cycles as you see fit, or take for 6 weeks for deeper healing. Also good for applying on the skin, using in rituals, ceremonies, meditation, adding to baths, or any other creative means that call to you
